An Evening of Indian Classical Dance and Music
York Steiner School, in partnership with SS Dance Academy, warmly invites you to a special evening celebrating the beauty, rhythm and expressive traditions of Indian classical dance and music.
Stithigati explores the fascinating interplay between movement and stillness, where rhythm, expression and gesture come together to create a captivating artistic experience.
This unique presentation brings together Class 5 children from York Steiner School and students of Shrikant Subramaniam, who are immersed in the rich classical vocabulary of Bharatanatyam.
Through music, movement and storytelling, our young performers invite you to experience the joy of artistic expression, the beauty of collaboration and the timeless traditions of Indian dance.
Following the performances, guests are warmly invited to enjoy a delicious curry meal together.
