‘STILL THE WILD ONE SYNOPSIS’
Set in Le Café Français in Cricklewood, Still the Wild One follows Sally, a fiery 75‑year‑old artist whose sharp wit and wandering memory spill her life story across the café tables. As she chats to the audience, we glimpse her journey from red‑haired “wild child” of Welwyn Garden City, through the glamour and chaos of 1960s London, to bohemian exile in rural Wales. Her stories of love, loss, children, art and survival are by urns hilarious and heartbreaking. In Act Two, she meets Danny, a big‑hearted bricklayer and poet, whose working‑class swagger and tenderness ignite a late‑life romance that is as unlikely as it is true. Moving between past and present, lucidity and confusion, the play celebrates one woman’s refusal to be tamed – proving she is, even now, still the wild one.
