Join us to celebrate one of the iconic objects in the Museum’s collection, the Hale Telescope mirror blank. Assistant Professor of Astronomy Dr. Anna Ho uses telescopes around the world and in space to study the lives and deaths of stars. Ho will share her firsthand experiences using the Hale Telescope on Mount Palomar and how it is still a valuable tool for astronomers after more than 70 years in service.Join us on Zoom for this Connected by Glass event on February 5 at 6:00 pm EST. The event is free and open to the public, and registration is required to attend virtually.

Anna Y.Q. Ho is an assistant professor in the Department of Astronomy at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Ho studied physics and astrophysics at MIT, Caltech, and Berkley. She also was a fellow at the Max Plank Institute in Heidelberg, Germany. She recently was named Packard Fellow for Science and Engineering at Cornell, which is funded to enable research and mentorship over the next five years.
