Join Upper Hutt artist Dawn Duthie at Dawn’s Atelier for a one-day Still Life Painting Workshop with a difference.
In this immersive art class, you’ll begin on a dramatic black background and explore how light interacts with everyday objects to define form, depth, and atmosphere. This workshop focuses on understanding light and shadow, tonal value, and creating strong, dynamic compositions — essential skills for painters wanting to strengthen their technique.
Perfect for beginners and developing artists alike, this hands-on painting workshop provides everything you need. All materials are supplied, so you can simply arrive, relax, and enjoy a creative day in the studio.
Workshop Details:
Sunday November 1st 2026
10am – 2pm
Dawn’s Atelier
Shop 5, City Arcade
123 Main Street, Upper Hutt
Tickets: $115
Spaces are limited to ensure individual guidance and a supportive studio experience. Book early to avoid disappointment.
This workshop also provides a strong technical foundation for students interested in developing their painting practice further, including those considering more in-depth courses at Dawn’s Atelier.
