Here's something a little different to get your heart rate up. Bike Wānaka's teamed up with the legends at Verve to bring you the very first Sticky Speed Dating night: a social ride in Sticky, followed by a drink or two in good, bike-loving company.
We know the small-town dating scene can be tough. But throw in a shared love of two wheels and a post-ride drink – flowers already taken care of – and you've got something straight out of a Disney movie (or Red Bull Rampage - whatever floats your boat).
Meet at the Sticky Double Gates at 6pm for a pedal, before we head to Verve at 7:30 for an evening of speedy, low-pressure dating.
Tickets are $15 via Humanatix and include a drink on arrival at Verve. Plus, $1 from every drink bought on the night goes straight back to Bike Wānaka – so even if you don’t find love, you’re still showing some to the club!
Be brave. Come along. And you might meet someone great 🤷‍♀️

HOW IT WORKS:
All ages & abilities welcome. There's no age range on this event as we know everyone will have one thing in common - biking! So even if the person you get chatting to is older/younger than you'd typically date, we know you'll have a decent chat and maybe find a new biking buddy.
You'll have 4 minutes with each person to see if you're interested before you move onto your next date. Each person will receive a dating card to note anyone you’re interested in. Hand them back to us, and if the feeling is mutual, we’ll let you know you’ve got a match the following day.

THE MUSTS:
👉 You need your own (or a pal's) bike and helmet
👉 You have to be a Bike Wānaka member (we know you already are, but just checking)
👉 You have to buy a ticket (it's how we make sure the dating part actually works)
