A hands-on volunteer series focused on caring for local ecosystems and wildlife habitat at Thomson Marsh Park- head onto Lequime off of Gordon into the park and look for our OSS event flags.Join us for Stewardship Thursdays, a hands-on volunteer series focused on caring for local ecosystems and wildlife habitat. Hosted by our environmental non-profit, these events bring community members together to support the health and resilience of our landscapes.
Volunteers will help with the maintenance of restoration sites, which may include activities like weeding invasive species, tending native plantings, installing protective features, and general site care. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and spend time outdoors.
These events are a great way to:
Contribute to meaningful, on-the-ground conservation work
Learn about local ecosystems and stewardship practices
Connect with like-minded community members
All tools and basic instruction will be provided. Please come dressed for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, and bring water.
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or brand new, we’d love to have you join us in making a positive impact.
We love pets, but please leave pets at home.
