About this Event
Join the Urban Collaborative Project (UCP), Groundwork San Diego - Chollas Creek (GWSD), and local youth as we come together to care for and celebrate our community space!
Together with local schools and partners—including Elementary Institute of Science, Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, San Diego Diamond BID, Horton Elementary, Access Youth Academy, and Morse High School—we’re empowering young leaders to revitalize Chollas Creekside Park into a vibrant space for learning, gathering, and recreation.
What We’ll Be Doing
We are celebrating community-led stewardship by caring for our shared land. Activities include:
- 🌳 Planting trees and watering native plants
- 🌿 Removing invasive species & litter clean-up
- 🌳 Showcasing projects led by the Groundwork Green Team
- 🎨 Rock painting
- 📚 Exploring local community resource booths
- 🎶 Enjoying live music and family-friendly fun
- ☕ Sipping free coffee provided by Grindz & Grooves Coffee & Vinyl
- 🌿 Honoring the land with an Indigenous Land Acknowledgement
Getting Here & Parking
Parking is very limited, so we strongly encourage alternative transportation or carpooling!
- 🚌 Public Transit: Take the MTS to Euclid Avenue Station (located right across the street). If you're local, consider using Southeastern Connect.
- 🫂 Carpool: Grab your friends, family, or neighbors and ride together!
- 🪴 Parking: Limited parking is available in the Walgreens lot or along Guymon St.
