Stewardship Saturday at Dvoor

Kick off December outside with some meadow stewardship! We're sowing native meadow seeds and controlling Callery pear this month.

December's Stewardship Saturday is at Dvoor Farm!

We'll be working on meadow restoration, by seeding areas with locally colleted nartive seed and removing woody invasive shrubs, primarily Callery Pear. Seeds we'll be sowing include warm-season grasses, like indian grass and little bluestem, and native herbs, like mountain mint, ironweed, and goldenrod. These species will help foster diverse ecosystems for the birds and insects that need them most.
