Vital for life on the Alberta Prairie, and beloved by many Albertans, Napi-tahtaa — Napi’s River — is increasingly under strain as a result of overuse and abuse, as well as industrial resource extraction like clearcut logging in the Eastern Slopes and headwaters region. On Thursday, June 4 at 6PM, CPAWS Southern Alberta's Conservation Science & Program Manager Josh Killeen will explore the threats facing Napi’s River, the aquatic species-at-risk who call it home, like our native trout, and how we might better steward these sacred lands and waters.
Weather permitting, we’ll also take our talk outside, to explore the river valley and celebrate forests, fish, and rivers.
