Steven Chanan in Recital

Bay Area pianist Steven Chanan has been a sought-after accompanist and party pianist for decades and is proud to return to the solo piano stage after a 23-year absence. The entertaining program will feature works by the jazz/classical hybrid composer Nikolai Kapustin, rags by Scott Joplin and William Bolcom, and classical favorites by Bach, Chopin, Debussy and others, and will culminate with a rousing solo rendition of George Gershwin’s popular favorite Rhapsody in Blue.
