Steve Strauss is a local singer/songwriter whose body of work spans the past thirty years. His songs are both poetic and pointed, a collection of thoughts and stories that have a timeless relevance with a wry sense of hope. Strauss is a recording artist with German audiophile label Stockfisch Records, who released A Very Thin Wire, his fourth album, in April of 2020. His music can be found on most streaming services.
The Cranberry Coffeehouse, Binghamton, NY’s premiere folk venue for over 50 years, takes place on the third Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at 183 Riverside Drive in Binghamton (doors open at 6:30 pm). Coffee and baked goods are available during the intermission. Performances feature a middle set where local musicians, story-tellers, and other entertainers are invited to share their talents (with a 5-minute limit per person/group). A $10 per person donation at the door is suggested (all funds, minus a small fee for use of the space, benefit our performers).
