Steve Pardo Quartet: Live at the Nashville Jazz Workshop

Join acclaimed video game composer & saxophonist Steve Pardo for a unique night of interactive live video game play paired with music on Saturday, February 15, 2025! The concert begins at 7:30pm CST (Doors open at 7:00pm).

About the show:

Acclaimed video game composer Steve Pardo (saxophone) presents a vibrant modern jazz quartet featuring Rod McGaha (trumpet), Jon Estes (upright bass), and Chris Brush (drums). Steve’s career-spanning experience in game music influences a set of dynamic and weaving compositions, designed to be broken through improvisation.

This unique Nashville Jazz Workshop performance will debut an interactive, live video game scoring experience from Steve’s latest album/game release, DOS (out now for Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, vinyl, and digital). Audience members may participate by playing the game, while the musicians improvise and react to the game and the player's choices in real time.

All attendees will also receive one free physical copy of DOS (vinyl or CD, as available) alongside one free digital download of the video game (Mac/PC).

More about Steve Pardo: With over 15 years supporting award-winning games and culturally-recognized franchises, Steve Pardo composes and directs emotional and expansive music and audio for linear and interactive media. An accomplished saxophonist, Steve’s background in jazz and innovative approach to music technology comes through in his compositions and improvisation, blending acoustic, electronic, analog, and digital. He is co-founder of game music & audio production house SkewSound, Composer/Music Manager at ProbablyMonsters, founder/game developer at The Pardo Brothers, and an active saxophone/woodwind recording and performing artist in Nashville, TN. In addition to his audio direction contributions to some of the world’s most recognizable music gaming titles, such as Rock Band VR, Dance Central, Fantasia: Music Evolved, and Fortnite Festival, Steve has composed the interactive soundtrack for games such as Cypher 007, Moonbreaker, Gigantic, Signs of the Sojourner, Farthest Frontier, Grim Dawn, Chariot, Fated, Beat Sports, and The Magic Circle, and has scored music for networks such as Netflix, Adult Swim, and IFC.
