Steve Knightley & The Winter Yards Band at The Met - Bury

Following a hugely successful run of shows, Steve Knightley and the Winter Yards Band return in Autumn 2026 — this time joined by special guest Megan Henwood. Best known as co-founder of revered folk phenomenon Show of Hands, Steve Knightley’s latest work blends poetic songwriting with a cinematic acoustic sound, a ‘folk noir’ style which has been winning audiences across the UK. Featuring David Delarre, John Parker and Evan Carson, the show combines songs from the Winter Yards album with powerful new material written on the road — stories of landscape, community and the changing world around us.
Opening each evening, Megan Henwood will perform a captivating 35-minute solo set before returning later to join the Winter Yards Band on stage. A favourite of many Show of Hands audiences, Megan has established herself as one of the UK’s finest contemporary singer-songwriters, celebrated for her poetic songwriting, distinctive guitar playing and expressive voice. Throughout the evening she’ll add her songs, harmonies and musicianship to the band, creating a performance that’s far more than a traditional headline show with support. Expect collaborations, unexpected moments and the unique chemistry that comes when outstanding musicians share a stage simply for the joy of making music together.
