From the Author:This book brings together my Kerouac life and my life as a now retired minister in the liberal Protestant tradition (Unitarian Universalist). I’m a past President of Lowell Celebrates Kerouac, the organization that produces an annual Kerouac Festival in Lowell.
In the book’s ten chapters I use passages from the writings of Jack Kerouac as the basis for some of the spiritual insights and life lessons I feel they offer. Kerouac’s writings contain joy and exuberance on the one hand, along with encounters with the dark nights of the soul on the other. Both are very instructive as we travel on our own life paths.
