Example: We had 48 out of 56 players earlier this year that were in on the 50/50 when we ran tournaments at Southland Lanes.
3 players who were in on the 50/50 that did not place in the top 3 won money on a random draw (1st $60 2nd $35 3rd $25) and the 3 players in the top finishing positions that were in on the 50/50 also received the same payouts.
Knockouts are a popular elimination tournament format. Over a number of rounds, players are paired against each other in four-player games. In a 4-player match, the players who come in 3rd and 4th place get a Strike. When a player reaches 3 strikes, they are eliminated from the tournament and will not be included in the next round of matches. At the end of the tournament, the last player standing is the winner.
