Steps of Dignity: Baobab Annual Walk for Black Seniors

Event Description:

Baobab Black Seniors Care Society invites Black seniors, families, caregivers, youth, volunteers, and community allies to join us for Steps of Dignity: Baobab Annual Walk for Black Seniors.

This annual walk is a visible statement that Black seniors matter. Together, we will walk, talk, connect, and build community across generations so that no Black senior feels invisible.

The walk promotes health and wellbeing, dignity, belonging, social connection, and community care. It is designed to be welcoming for all ages, all abilities, and all mobility levels, with refreshments, giveaways, music, snacks, and good vibes.

What to Expect:

Gentle movement, fresh air, community connection, refreshments, music, snacks, and an opportunity to walk together in support of Black seniors.

Who This Is For:

Black seniors, families and caregivers, youth and community allies, volunteers and supporters. Everyone is welcome.

This event is open to all mobility levels with their families. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace.
