About this Event

In her debut novel, a portal fantasy and the first installment of a trilogy, Stephanie Brick weaves a story that takes middle-grade readers on a fantastical coming of age journey of friendship, belonging and self-worth. An architect by trade, Stephanie's profession gives her a unique lens for detailed, multi-sensory world-building where readers experience taste, scent, touch, sound, and sight, leaving a great impact that lasts long after the book is closed.

About the Author:

Stephanie Brick is a lifelong writer, from her first books as a child (made using construction paper and her mother’s favorite green stapler) to completing her first novella by age twelve to regular syndication as a professional. As a career architect and sideline author, Stephanie's design acuity and endless creativity form a unique lens for detailed, multi-sensory world-building, both on and off the page.

About the Program:

  • Doors will open to registered attendees at 2:30 pm.
  • All registered in person attendees will receive a free copy of the book while supplies last.
  • Bike parking, metered parking, limited free street parking, and electric car charging stations are available.
