Oldschool Arnhem death doom heroes back on stage! One of the best Dutch bands to come out of the 90's. The album “Gentle push to paradise” stand in line with other cult classics from that time.
Those who missed them at the Karst Benefiet now have the chance to witness the supreme death/doom metal one last time. We are more than proud and honored to have them on our release show after others had tried before but did not succeed.
MOUFLON return in league with Iron Fortress Records (USA) with their third full- length album 'Eros & Thanatos', set for release July 3 on CD and digital.
In Europe Vespertilio and The Limit Records will release the album on CD and LP.
Across eight tracks, 'Eros & Thanatos' delivers a feral strain of death metal, wild and unrestrained, reflecting the creative destruction of its title. Streaming now, opening track 'The Divine Wind' sets the pace immediately, bursting from the gate like wolves across a frost-choked wilderness, driven by tremolo riffing, hammering drums, and the guttural bark of R.J's vocals.
Drawing from the foundations of Autopsy, Bolt Thrower, Gorefest, Asphyx, and Entombed, MOUFLON channel those influences into something primal and unrestrained, like an avalanche indiscriminately burying everything in its path. The result is a record defined by a relentless tension between creation and annihilation, where life and death collide as a single force, echoing 'Eros & Thanatos', bound in a single unending struggle.
'Eros and Thanatos' was recorded and mixed by Ronny Kessels at Overdose Audio, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Obituary, Death, Gatecreeper) Artwork was created by Joost de Bruijn, with additional collages by R.J.
