During Water Wednesday, children will explore the fascinating properties of water through hands-on experiments designed for curiosity and discovery. Kids will rotate through simple activities that let them see science in action.Through play and experimentation, children will:
Investigate density by testing what sinks, floats, and why different mixtures of water behave differently.
Explore surface tension by adding drops of water to a penny and discovering how water can “hold together” more than expected.
Observe condensation by watching water form on the outside of cold containers and learning where those droplets come from.
This activity encourages prediction, observation, and experimentation in a fun, low-pressure environment that works for a wide range of ages.
