Steins up! Albert’s Schloss announces three-week Oktoberfest takeover

Steins at the ready! For those who can’t make it to Munich, Oktoberfest is returning to Albert’s Schloss. The Soho bier palace is going all-out with three weeks of unique Bavarian brews, delicious new dishes, and non-stop live entertainment that’ll have you dancing on the tables (because that’s how they do it in Bavaria!). What’s more? Albert’s Schloss Oktoberfest is open to all, no tickets required. 

Running from 20 September to 12 October, Albert’s Schloss, Soho, will prove its Bayern credentials by playing host to traditional keg tapping, live oompah and brass bands, and ‘the best lederhosen’ competitions. 

Plus each day there is a different showtime entertainment theme, and no entry ticket is needed. Favourites include Baby Grand Slam, two dueling pianos and a full band playing requests, and its Disko Wunderbar night, mixing 70s classics with an Oktoberfest brass band twist.

Albert's Schloss, Soho, is serving the most authentic taste of Oktoberfest; it’s one of the only venues in the world that offers all six festival beers under one roof - the only beers served at the official Munich Oktoberfest.

Its Cook Haus restaurant will offer up traditional festival fare including paprika-roasted half chicken, 12-hr brined crispy Schweinshaxe pork knuckle, a Sausage Festival dish of authentic wursts, and the award-winning Baron burger..

If beer isn’t for you, Schloss will also be serving authentic Alpine cocktails, including an Oktoberfest Spritz, A Blood Orange and Ginger Spritz or a Munchen Long Island, all mixed with Monkey 47. 

There will also be classic Oktoberfest games and wurst-eating contests… because what’s a beer festival without a bit of friendly competition? Not only this, but guests will be welcomed to stein holding, pretzel tossing, guess the sausage and Bavarian hat throwing.

So, what else is on tap at Schloss this Oktoberfest? 

• Seven days of showtime - Oktoberfest style. This will feature live entertainment every night, from brass bands to DJs and everything in between. Importantly there is no entry ticket required and all are welcome.  
• Guests will have the opportunity to tap their own kegs every Wednesday to Saturday.
• Interactive cocktail serving station from a traditional handcrafted cuckoo-clock

For the most loyal Oktoberfest fans, Albert’s Schloss, Soho, is offering 100 free beers to the first festival guests on 20th September, as soon as the doors open at noon on Saturday 20th September. 

After a storming first Oktoberfest in London last year, selling over 3,000 litres of beer across the festival, Albert’s Schloss is stacking the kegs in preparation as the only place to be in London this Oktoberfest.
