Now we don't really book tribute bands, it's just not our thing but we are making an exception for Steely Don. Why? well they are not your average tribute act. An 11 piece band including horn section playing the music of one of the finest bands of the 1970s, Steely Dan.
Steely Don is an 11 piece band based in the North of England, dedicated to playing the
music of Steely Dan and Donald Fagen. The aim of the band is to deliver authentic performances of songs from the back catalogue of these highly regarded musicians and songwriters, who produced music that blended elements of Rock, Jazz, Latin, R&B, Soul and Blues.
The band consists of Lead Vocal, 2 Backing Vocals, Guitar/Vocal, Keyboards, Bass,drums, Tenor/Soprano Sax, Baritone/Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone.
Expect to hear the hits – Reelin’ in the years, Do it again, FM, Josie, Peg, Rikki don’t lose that number, Kid Charlemagne……..as well as a selection of deep cuts and classic album tracks.
The band members are highly experienced musicians and are all massive fans of Steely Dan. It’s an on-going labour of love to recreate the music as faithfully and accurately as possible.
Tickets £12.50 from the bar/see tickets. Members £11 from the bar only.
