SYNOPSIS:
Spend time in Truvy's salon in the small town of Chinquapin, Louisiana, where the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done, discuss their lives, and gossip about others' with sharp, hilarious dialogue. A tragedy brings out the underlying strength--and love--in their friendship, revealing them to be truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad. Based on the author’s own life, the play showcases the bond of Southern women.
