Cruise to see the Bournemouth Air Festival – the Shieldhall has the best view of all, anchored offshore between the piers at Bournemouth and Boscombe. Very popular with photographers, Shieldhall is a very stable vessel and provides a wonderful viewing and photographic platform. We also have an expert aviation commentator on board, offering insights into the planes and activities being staged as part of this spectacular event. This may well be the last Bournemouth Air Festival in its current guise, so we are anticipating a high demand for cruise tickets, with early booking recommended to avoid disappointment.
As part of your cruise, see the impressive engine room with its original steam engines at work and the bridge, with its traditional instruments and gleaming brasswork; admire the ship’s steam assisted steering gear (similar to that used on Titanic); talk to the Captain and our volunteer crew; listen to the informed commentary on the sights and sounds of Poole Harbour (including Brownsea Island and Sandbanks) and The Old Harry Rocks; walk the teak decks; relax in the Saloon with our wide range of refreshments including tea / coffee; real ale; a range of Titanic bottled beers; wine and hot and cold food, available on all trips.

We are still awaiting official confirmation on the dates & timings of the 2024 Bournemouth Air Festival. Once confirmed, our bookings pages will go live with tickets for our planned week in Poole which is provisionally from Monday 26th August until Monday 2nd September 2024. At this moment, you may still “express your interest” in any of the provisional excursions shown.
