About this Event
STEAM Seed Heart Paper Making Workshop at the Village Art Plaza Farmers Market
Celebrate creativity, science, and sustainability! Kids ages 6–12 are invited to a hands-on STEAM crafting experience at the Village Art Plaza Farmers Market. In this workshop, young makers will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through the magic of handmade seed paper.
About the Workshop
In this engaging, kid-friendly session, participants will transform recycled paper into plantable seed hearts, learning how everyday materials can be engineered into something beautiful and earth-friendly. Through guided experimentation, students will explore:
- Science — What is paper made of? How do seeds sprout?
- Technology & Engineering — How do molds, deckles, and pressure help paper form?
- Art — How can color, texture, and design bring recycled materials to life?
- Math — Measuring pulp ratios, water amounts, and seed quantities.
Each child will craft their own heart‑shaped seed paper cards—perfect for Valentine’s Day, gifting, or planting at home to grow wildflowers.
