UTC-08:00Location
2024 Orange Tree Ln, Redlands, CA, United States, California 92374 | Redlands, CA
This month, STEAM Outdoors explores stone fruit and the important role fruit trees play in our lives. Children will learn how fruits grow from blossoms to harvest and how people have cultivated and shared fruit for generations. Through hands-on discovery, young learners will uncover how food connects us to the land, to one another, and to the story of us—rooted in care, patience, and seasonal change.
A Hands-On Nature Program for Curious Young Learners
STEAM Outdoors invites children and families to step outside and explore the living world through hands-on learning and creative discovery. SBCM is excited to partner with Sprout and Blossom for this monthly program that connects science, nature, and art through lessons on gardening, food systems, insects, and the beauty of the natural world. Each session encourages curiosity, care for the Earth, and an understanding of how people and nature are deeply connected—an essential chapter in the story of us.
STEAM Outdoors takes place once each month and is offered in two sessions:
10:30–11:15 a.m.
11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
Participation is free with general museum admission. Space is limited to 20 children per session and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
