STEAM Mates: The Human Body
About this Event
STEAM Mates is a monthly interactive activity focusing on one of the following areas: science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics.
Through interactive activities and creative play, kids will learn how our bodies work; from the blood that flows through our veins to the heart that keeps it all moving.
🫀Sensory Blood Activity: Discover what’s in our blood using fun materials like red water beads (red blood cells), ping pong balls (white blood cells), craft foam (platelets), and water (plasma).
🔬Cells up close: Features scale models of cells and upclose view of real cells under the microscope.
🩻DIY Digestive System: Make your own digestive system model.
🧫Make your own disease: Make your own disease and model of the disease using recyced materials.

Suitable for ages 5–8.
