We turn the clocks back to the dark days of 1940-45, with steam trains, rationing, bombings and evacuees. Military Personnel on trains, Checkpoints, ID cards. Meet lots of period characters, hear their stories [Daily Timetabled Talks] on many amazing theatres of operations, from The Home Guard to the Womens Voluntary Service, The Air Raid Warden and the Women's Land Army [amongst many].
