Get ready for a fun, hands-on day of creativity and discovery at STEAM Discovery Day!Students from Shrewsbury High School have partnered with the Shrewsbury Recreation Department to bring this exciting event to life as part of their Student Event Leadership Project. These students chose to plan a STEAM-focused event and have been working hard behind the scenes to make it all happen, from brainstorming ideas to organizing activities, with guidance and support from the Recreation Department.
So, what is STEAM? It stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics! STEAM Discovery Day is a hands-on, family-friendly event designed for children ages 5–10, featuring a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities. Families can explore, experiment and take on creative challenges that show how learning can be exciting and interactive.
