Staying Open to Wonder, With Jonathan Schooler
About this Event
Openness is linked to creativity, curiosity, intellectual humility, and even longevity. But is it a fixed trait—or something we can strengthen over time?
Jonathan Schooler, Ph.D. distinguished professor of psychological and brain sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara, joins us once more for a conversation on openness, curiosity, and growth. Drawing on research from psychology and philosophy, Jonathan will explore the science of openness and share evidence suggesting that our capacity for wonder may be more malleable than we think.
He’ll discuss how everyday practices—from engaging with art to noticing beauty in ordinary moments—can help us cultivate greater openness, enrich our relationships, and deepen our experience of life.
