Ever wonder what goes into the annual displays and plantings around town? Join City Horticulturist Matthew Sensabaugh for an informal talk on Staunton’s Horticulture & Arboriculture throughout the seasons of the year. Matt will walk you through the everyday realities of growing ornamentals & caring for the trees in Staunton’s parks and urban green spaces. We will also have time to talk about hot topics in horticulture such as native plants, pollinators, and invasives as well as answering your home garden questions. Matthew Sensabaugh has been the Staunton City horticulturist since 2005. Matt is a graduate of Virginia Tech, an ISA Certified Arborist, and has worked with plants since childhood.
