State of The Trail: Civic Unity Hike

Join Black People Hike LV, the NAACP, and the Sierra Club for the State of the Trail: Civic Unity Hike at Lone Mountain Discovery Park. This unique community event brings constituents and community leaders together for a guided hike designed to encourage open conversation and civic engagement in a relaxed setting.

Participants will be placed into small groups and walk the trail alongside local elected officials and incumbents, creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue about the issues affecting our community while also learning about the people behind the public offices. Instead of speeches or panels, the focus is on authentic conversations, listening, and connection.

The event will conclude with a brief communal gathering where attendees and leaders break bread together and reflect on the future of our community. The State of the Trail is about building relationships, strengthening civic participation, and ensuring that community voices and leadership meet on equal ground. 🌄🤝
