About this Event

Startup Weekend Inglewood

Three days. One weekend. From idea to startup.

Techstars Startup Weekend Inglewood is an immersive, hands-on entrepreneurial experience bringing together aspiring founders, creatives, developers, business professionals, innovators, and community builders for one action-packed weekend.

From Friday, October 9th through Sunday, October 11th, 2026, participants will experience what it takes to build a startup, from pitching an idea and forming a team to validating a concept, developing a business model, and presenting it to a panel of judges.

You don't need to arrive with a business, a team, or even an idea. You just need to come ready to participate, collaborate, learn, and build.

IMPORTANT: This Is a 3-Day Commitment

Startup Weekend Inglewood is ONE continuous event that takes place over three days. Your ticket covers the full weekend—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and participants are expected to commit to attending all three days.

You do not need to purchase a separate ticket for each day.

The experience builds from day to day: teams are formed on Friday, work together throughout Saturday, and prepare and deliver their final pitches on Sunday.

Before registering, please make sure you are available to participate for the entire weekend, October 9th–11th.

How the Weekend Works

FRIDAY — Meet, Pitch & Build Your Team

The weekend begins by bringing everyone together. You'll meet fellow participants, share ideas, hear pitches, vote on the ideas you want to see move forward, and form teams around the concepts you're most excited to build.

You do not have to pitch an idea to participate.

SATURDAY — Validate, Build & Get to Work

This is where the work happens. Teams dive into customer discovery, market validation, business model development, pricing, strategy, and building out their concept.

Throughout the day, experienced mentors and business professionals will work with teams, ask questions, challenge assumptions, and help participants strengthen their ideas.

SUNDAY — Refine, Pitch & Celebrate

Teams bring everything together. You'll refine your business model, prepare your final presentation, practice your pitch, and present your startup concept to a panel of judges.

The weekend concludes with the final pitch showcase, awards, and a celebration of everything created over the three-day experience.

Who Should Attend?

Startup Weekend is for people who want to experience entrepreneurship firsthand.

You might be:

  • An aspiring or early-stage entrepreneur
  • A creative or designer
  • A developer or technologist
  • A marketer or storyteller
  • A business, finance, operations, or strategy professional
  • A student or emerging professional
  • A community innovator or problem solver
  • Someone with an idea you've been thinking about
  • Someone without an idea who wants to help build one

You do not need previous startup experience to participate.

You also don't need to have a team. Part of the Startup Weekend experience is meeting people with different skills and perspectives and building together.

What You'll Experience

Over the course of the weekend, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Pitch an idea or join someone else's
  • Build a team with people from different backgrounds and skill sets
  • Test assumptions and talk to potential customers
  • Explore your market and competition
  • Develop and strengthen a business model
  • Work alongside experienced mentors
  • Build, test, and refine your concept
  • Learn how to communicate your idea effectively
  • Develop and deliver a final startup pitch
  • Build relationships with other entrepreneurs and innovators

Most importantly, you'll experience what it actually feels like to take an idea and begin turning it into something real.

You Don't Have to Be a "Tech Person"

Despite the name Startup Weekend, this experience isn't only for developers or people building technology companies.

Great startups need different types of thinkers and skills.

We want builders, creatives, strategists, marketers, developers, designers, storytellers, problem-solvers, community leaders, and big thinkers in the room.

The diversity of experience, expertise, and perspective is part of what makes Startup Weekend work.

Come Ready to Build

Startup Weekend isn't about sitting in an audience for three days listening to speakers.

You'll be participating.

You'll meet people you didn't know before the weekend. You'll exchange ideas. You'll ask questions. You'll test assumptions. You'll make decisions. You'll receive feedback. You'll probably change direction at least once.

And by Sunday, you'll have built something that didn't exist on Friday.

Whether this becomes your next company, introduces you to a future collaborator, teaches you a new skill, or simply gives you the confidence to pursue an idea, you'll leave Startup Weekend having experienced entrepreneurship, not just heard about it.

One Ticket. All Three Days.

Your registration is for the complete Techstars Startup Weekend Inglewood experience:

Friday, October 9, 2026
Saturday, October 10, 2026
Sunday, October 11, 2026

Please register only if you are able to commit to participating throughout the full three-day experience.

Come with an idea, or come ready to join one.

Either way, come ready to build.

Hosted by Startup Inglewood.
