About this Event

Startup Investment Beyond Your Zip Code

Most founders assume their next check has to come from someone down the street. It doesn't — and limiting your search to local investors is one of the fastest ways to leave capital on the table.

Building Our Tech and Starter Studio are teaming up to bring founders a practical, no-fluff session on raising capital from investors outside your immediate network — where to find them, how to reach them, and what actually gets a meeting on the calendar.

What you'll learn:

  • Practical ways to identify and attract outside investors
  • How to target investors by stage and thesis
  • Where warm introductions really happen
  • How to build a repeatable outreach process
  • Which pre-seed signals matter most
