: Andrew is the Director of Startup Success at the Beck Venture Center, where he manages the founder experience for startups in the Beck network. Before joining the Beck Center, he practiced as a startup/VC lawyer at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, closing hundreds of deals, including some of the largest venture financings in history, among them Anthropic's $30 billion Series G. Andrew is an active angel investor with 20+ startup investments.
: Stan is the Director of the McNeil Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Colorado School of Mines, where he is building an engineering-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem that helps students turn ideas into real-world impact. Previously, he led the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative at CU Boulder, expanding entrepreneurship programs, venture opportunities, and a robust network of mentors, alumni, industry partners, and investors. His work focuses on connecting universities, industry, and entrepreneurial communities to create experiential opportunities that develop the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers.
: Ed is the Managing Director of the Mines Venture Fund and has spent the last 30 years in the venture capital industry. Ed spent the first 13 years of his career on the capital side investing in hundreds of startups and the last 18 years as an operating founder where he led multiple startups as CEO/COO through pre-seed financings to institutional financings and ultimately to M&A and IPO. Most recently he was the CEO of Rook Capital, a VC-backed fintech startup, that was acquired in 2024.
: Victoria is an expert in academic makerspaces, inclusive experiential learning, and engineering education. With over a decade of leadership experience building makerspaces and innovation programs at NYU, Cooper Union, and now the Colorado School of Mines, she specializes in creating hands-on learning environments that empower students through co-curricular learning, peer leadership, and inclusive design practices.
: Kate serves as Commercialization Manager at Colorado School of Mines, partnering with the Mines community to identify, evaluate, and manage a portfolio of innovative technologies with strong commercial potential. With more than 18 years of experience in university research and technology transfer, Kate brings deep expertise in transforming groundbreaking discoveries into real-world impact. Prior to joining Mines, Kate spent over a decade in technology transfer, including leadership roles at Georgia Tech and the University of Colorado Boulder.
