Kick off your 2026 gardening season with confidence!Join us on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 1:00–2:00 PM at Scott’s Nursery in Lincoln for an informative Seed Starting Class designed to help you grow strong, healthy seedlings from the very beginning.
This presentation-style seminar (not hands-on) will walk you through everything you need to know to successfully start vegetables, herbs, and flowers from seed. Through a detailed PowerPoint and live demonstrations, you’ll learn:
When to start different crops
Proper seed depth and germination timing
Soil temperature and lighting tips
Potting-up techniques
Pinching and hardening off
How to avoid common seed-starting mistakes
Whether you’re brand new to growing from seed or looking to improve your results, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to start the season the right way.
Each attendee will receive a helpful take-home pamphlet to reference throughout the spring.
