Led by Jessica Aleman, MSEd, CCC-SLP, this comprehensive workshop covers everything you need to know about first foods, including:

• When to Start: Recognizable signs of readiness..
• The Methods: A practical look at both Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) and Purees/Spoon-Feeding (and how to combine them!).
• Food Safety: How to help prevent choking (this is a major parent fear!) and safe food preparation.
• Allergen Introduction: A step-by-step guide to safely introducing the top 9 allergens (e.g., peanuts, eggs, dairy).
• Nutrition: What nutrients your baby needs and the best first foods to offer.
• Gear: My expert recommendations on must-have feeding tools (high chairs, utensils, cups etc.).

• Parents of babies 3–12 months (The information is most beneficial when taken before starting).
• Babies 6–12 months are welcome to attend and participate in provided baby floor seats.See participation requirements below.

Your class will be led by Jessica, a local resident and certified speech-language pathologist and feeding therapist. Jessica is passionate about making mealtimes fun and stress-free and has helped hundreds of families successfully navigate their feeding journey.
