Led by Jessica Aleman, MSEd, CCC-SLP, this comprehensive workshop covers everything you need to know about first foods, including:

• When to Start: Recognizable signs of readiness..
• The Methods: A practical look at both Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) and Purees/Spoon-Feeding (and how to combine them!).
• Food Safety: How to help prevent choking (this is a major parent fear!) and safe food preparation.
• Allergen Introduction: A step-by-step guide to safely introducing the top 9 allergens (e.g., peanuts, eggs, dairy).
• Nutrition: What nutrients your baby needs and the best first foods to offer.
• Gear: My expert recommendations on must-have feeding tools (high chairs, utensils, cups etc.).

• Babies 6–12 months are welcome to attend and participate in provided baby floor seats.See participation requirements below.

✅ Participation Requirements (Safety First): To ensure safe eating during the class, participating babies (6–12 mos) must meet the following developmental milestones:

• Sitting Up: Able to sit with steady head and neck control (sitting in a supportive seat is fine).
• Interest: Showing active interest in food or watching others eat.
• Motor Skills: Bringing hands or toys to their mouth independently
