Starting Small, Thinking Big: Women Founding Differently is a morning gathering at Patch Twickenham to celebrate Small Business Saturday. This welcoming event spotlights women who are building businesses in creative, unconventional ways - often while balancing caregiving responsibilities, transitions, or working with limited time. Experience a mix of honest conversation, practical ideas, and peer connection as we share journeys, challenges, and wins. Expect a friendly, energising space designed for listening, learning, and supporting one another.

Enjoy a 45-minute panel conversation, quick-fire Q&A, and break into small groups for guided peer discussions. The morning wraps up with relaxed networking to build fresh contacts and new support.

Kate Rainford-Foakes is a career and leadership coach supporting women at pivotal points of transition. After 15 years in senior leadership at CHANEL, and experience advising a tech start-up, she now empowers women to grow careers and businesses authentically—balancing ambition with family and wellbeing. Named one of the UK's SmallBiz100 for 2025, Kate helps women integrate professional and personal identities through coaching, workshops, and leadership circles. Founder of the upcoming platform Foundher, she believes meaningful success comes on your own terms.
