Starting self employment workshop with HMRC

Representatives from HMRC will show workshop attendees how to register as a sole trader and file your self assessment tax return online.
About this Event

Start Up Wandsworth (BIPC Wandsworth) is pleased to collaborate with His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to bring you a workshop which will demonstrate the key steps to take when registering as a Sole Trader for self-employment or when registering your small business.

During this session, we will cover your obligations to HMRC:

• What to do if you are thinking of Self-employment to be your own boss.
• We will explore how to register yourself and your new small business.
• The self-assessment requirements you need to be aware of, such as the tax system, tax payments, how to pay and when (key dates for 2024/2025).

After the general overview, we will have a Q&A session for participants on registering for self-employment or registering their small businesses.

This event is delivered by Start Up Wandsworth which is a business support services designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs, start ups and established businesses to build their entrepreneurial skills and confidence, as well as giving them access to business information and resources.

We offer our members a variety of expert led workshops, 1-2-1's with a business manager , access to business resources, opportunities to trade and test business ideas, co-working and office space, networking events and much more. We also offer office and desk spaces in our business hub in Putney Library and York Gardens Library.

Members of Start Up Greenwich and Start Up Bromley are also welcome to attend the event.
