As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, join us in the Mitchell Library for Start-Up Day 2025. It's a whole day packed with opportunities to help you turn your brilliant idea into a business. You can attend from start to finish or choose whichever sessions you'd like to attend - it's completely up to you!

We'll cover everything from business support and intellectual property workshops to live screenings from the British Library and networking opportunities to connect with like-minded people.

By taking part you'll have the chance to gain the knowledge and confidence to get started and come back to the Business & IP Centre Glasgow as your business ideas begin to take shape, and make the most out of our free support service.

Info: Start the day at our friendly networking coffee morning. Treat yourself to a free breakfast roll and hot drink in a relaxed setting. This sit-down, inclusive event is a great chance to chat with fellow attendees and learn about BIPC Glasgow.

Info: Join this workshop run by the BIPC Glasgow team to learn how to identify, protect and make the most of your intellectual property. Intellectual property (IP) is hard to escape in modern life, it's everywhere you go. From logos on products, to the copyright included in your favourite books, music and computer games, and even the registered designs and patents in your favourite fashion items and technology.

By the end of this workshop you will have an understanding of IP basics, how to identify different types of IP rights, how to search for registered IP, and how to protect your IP assets, so you can feel confident in knowing where to start your own research and where to go for further information.
