Join UK Astronomy at STARS IN THE PARK on Saturday 26th August! Starting at 10:15pm, behind the main stage, our volunteers will show you some of the wonders in our night sky using a variety of incredible telescopes and equipment. Please ensure that children are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.Please note that for the safety and enjoyment of all participants, we will not allow anyone who is intoxicated to attend or take part in the Stars in the Park event.
Additionally, in case of cloudy or rainy weather, the event may be cancelled at the last minute. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Tickets are not required to attend Stars in the Park.
Stars in the Park is part of the exciting Parklife weekend, which kicks off with Pride in the Park on Friday, 25th August. The festivities continue with Live in the Park at 12noon on Saturday 26th August.
Enjoy 9.5 hours of non-stop live music across two stages and a wide array of family-friendly fun and entertainment.
During Live in the Park, UK Astronomy will also have a stand offering engaging space-themed activities for kids, such as colouring and rocket-making. If the weather is clear, we'll also be providing solar observing for the entire family to enjoy.
Please note that while UK Astronomy will only be participating in Live in the Park and Stars in the Park, there are many other exciting events to experience throughout the weekend including:
- Pride in the Park on Friday 23rd, 5pm-9:30pm
- Live in the Park on Saturday 24th, 12noon - 9:30pm
- Stars in the Park on Saturday night (weather permitting), 10:15pm - 11:15pm
- Church & Banquet in the Park on Sunday morning - 10:30am - 2:30pm
- Battle of the Bands on Sunday afternoon, 12:30 -4:30pm
- Proms in the Park on Sunday evenin, 7:17pm - 9:30pm
