## 🇺🇸 About This Event
This special tournament honors those who serve and protect us, including members of the armed forces, police, fire, EMS, nurses, healthcare workers, and first responders — as well as their spouses and significant others.
Each hero in attendance will be individually introduced, followed by the National Anthem in their honor. Complimentary custom tribute shirts will be provided to all honorees.
We also invite all on-duty local emergency personnel to stop by during the day for a complimentary tribute shirt, soft drink, and food.
Every year this event sells out with 350+ participants thanks to our incredible sponsors and community support.
If you see one of our heroes (they’ll have an armband), please thank them… or buy them a beer. Someday, they may save your life.

## 🏐 Tournament Details
**Levels:** Coed 4’s – A, BB, B & C/Rec (1 female min.)
**Hosted by:** All the Dayton VBC Peeps
**Fee:**
• $30/player Venmo
• $25/player Cash
💳 Captains — please consider paying for the entire team and have your players Venmo you ahead of time.

Select **Generic 4’s** if the event is not listed.
👉 Register for your proper level. “Haven’t played together,” “haven’t played in awhile,” or “just wanna have fun and drink” are not valid reasons to play down.
⏰ Registration deadline: Friday at 12:00pm before the event

## 🏆 Format
• Pool play → All teams advance to single elimination
• Cross-pool brackets
• Losers ref the next match
• Finals are typically match play
• No coed rule during play
• Director reserves the right to adjust team levels
All courts (indoor & outdoor) will be used. No special court requests. We’ll do our best to split play evenly.

**B & C/Rec:** event baskets + shirts (product/trinkets/bling if available)
🥈 2nd place receives shirts and possible additional prizes

🎭 This is a **COSTUMED EVENT** — don’t be that team.
🚫 NO outside food or drink
🪑 Bring lawn chairs
⏰ No late teams (yes, we already start an hour later to help the slackers 😉)
No pets allowed in the facility
