Join us under the stars at Dunwoody Nature Center for Starry Saturday—a family-friendly night of cosmic wonder led by NASA Solar System Ambassador Thomas Dworschak. Taking place on Saturday, September 27th from 8:00–9:00 PM, this event combines a fascinating astronomy presentation with guided telescope viewing (weather permitting).
Tom Dworschak, an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice by day and passionate astronomer by night, makes space science approachable and exciting for all ages. With vivid visuals, hands-on scale models, and insights from NASA’s crewed missions and space telescopes, Tom brings the universe to life—right from our meadow under the night sky. After the presentation, guests will enjoy a chance to view planets, stars, and even the moon up close through telescopes guided by Tom himself.
Whether you’re a budding young astronaut or just love looking up, this is a unique opportunity to explore the skies and spark scientific curiosity in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Bring a blanket or chairs, dress for the weather, and prepare to be inspired!
