Join the Madison Astronomical Society for a magical evening under the stars at this free, family-friendly event! We'll start at 6 PM with an engaging indoor session inside the Center for Rural History. You'll learn the basics of stargazing, types of observing gear, and see stunning astronomical photographs.
Then we’ll head outside to explore the night sky through a variety of telescopes to see planets, moons, dazzling star clusters, double stars, and perhaps even a galaxy or two! A dedicated naked-eye and binocular observation station will be led by a night sky expert, and a special camera/computer setup will project breathtaking views of celestial objects in vivid detail. The event will wrap up between 8-9 pm.
RSVPs are encouraged to stay updated on possible rescheduling, but drop-ins are welcome.

About the Madison Astronomical Society: MAS consists of people from many walks of life who are united by a genuine interest in astronomy.
