Field trip participants will arrive on Friday, October 17 at 6:00pm if they’d like to bring dinner and fellowship. Dr. Skipper Kagamaster’s presentation will start at 7:00pm.
It will get dark around 8:00, and we will start our stargazing. Participants are able to either camp at the nearby campsites at Succor Creek, Leslie Gulch, or drive home.
Dr. Kagamaster and his friend will have telescopes to view, but participants may bring their own telescopes or binoculars to stargaze.
Reminder that this is out-of-cell service, so maps may need to be downloaded before arrival. No bathroom facilities, practice leave-no-trace.
The site is down a long, rough dirt road. We are using a vehicle pull-out before the final drop into the canyon as our meeting site.
It is approximately a one-hour drive from Extra Mile Chevron 5644 Buntrock Rd. Marsing.
There will be a requested donation to support FIGI of $5.00 per individual or $20.00 per family. You may pay via cash, check, or Venmo.
