Step away from the city lights and experience the night sky like never before during this intimate astronomy tour at Finley Farms.
Designed for a small group, this guided experience offers plenty of time to observe the night sky through a telescope while learning about the fascinating objects above us. Rather than waiting in line for a quick glance, guests will enjoy an up-close look at a thoughtfully curated selection of celestial wonders based on the conditions that evening.
We’ll begin by identifying some of the night’s most recognizable constellations and asterisms before exploring a variety of astronomical objects, which may include double stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, and planets. Along the way, you’ll learn about the science, history, and significance of each object, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and deepen your understanding of the universe.
As the evening unfolds, we’ll also discuss the importance of dark sky preservation and the ongoing efforts by Finley Farms and the City of Ozark to reduce light pollution and protect our view of the stars.
In the event of cloudy or inclement weather, the tour will be rescheduled for September 20.
