EVENT DESCRIPTION
The primary format of Prerelease events, sealed play is a limited format that combines the limited card pool aspect of draft play with the more open-ended deckbuilding approach of constructed. Like draft play, everyone starts the event off on equal footing, and like constructed play, this format gives you the opportunity to let your deckbuilding skills shine.
At the beginning of this Pre-Release event, players will receive a Pre-Release Box including six booster packs as well as Leader promo cards. Players must use the cards within those packs to build a deck while adhering to the following rules:
Decks must consist of exactly one leader, exactly one base, and a minimum 30-card draw deck. Sideboards include all of the other cards opened from packs. Players may use any common base for their deck, even one that did not come from one of the booster packs. Players may only use a rare base if it was in one of the booster packs opened. A player’s draw deck can include any number of copies of the same card.
Once deckbuilding is over, players will participate in a three-round Swiss tournament. Each round is best-of-3, 55 minutes long.
CAN YOU MAKE THE KESSEL RUN?
You’ve been hired by Jabba the Hutt to make the Kessel Run and deliver a load of glitterstim. Will you play it safe by traveling around The Maw and risk being spotted by Imperial tariff ships, or will you risk it and go through The Maw in an attempt to make the run across the shortest distance?
At the beginning of the event, each player will receive a Millennium Falcon token to represent them on a collective Kessel Run space board. After each round of play, each player will roll a die to determine how many spaces ahead they move on the Kessel Run path. Players may decide for themselves which path they’d like to travel on their smuggling journey - play it safe with fewer risks by traveling around The Maw, or go high risk high reward by traveling though The Maw.
When a player’s Falcon token stops on a Kessel Run game space, they’ll earn whatever prize they’ve landed on. Different paths on the board contain different prize offerings. Riskier paths may contain spaces with no prizing but also include spaces with more valuable prizes. Trust the Force and choose the path that is right for you!

PRIZING
All participating players will receive two booster packs of A Lawless Time for playing in the event. Additionally, players will earn a pack per match win through the event (maximum three packs per player). All players will be able to participate in our Kessel Run side event!
