Join the Star Police Department for a fun-filled Fishing Rodeo on Idaho’s Free Fishing Day! No license is required, and all ages are welcome to fish alongside local deputies in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
This event is all about teaching kids how to fish, encouraging outdoor fun, and building positive connections with law enforcement. Officers will be on-site to help bait hooks, cast lines, and enjoy a great day at Freedom Park with our community.
What to Expect:
🎣 Free fishing for all ages – no license needed
🎣 Loaner fishing poles and bait available (while supplies last)
🎣 Food trucks on-site, outside food welcome
🎣 Fun giveaways – fishing-related prizes!
🎣 Kids' activity booths hosted by local businesses and organizations
Get Involved!
We are looking for:
✅ Booth Hosts – Businesses, groups, and organizations that can provide a fun, fishing-related kids' activity (no food please). Booth space is $25 (14' x 14'), and you must provide an activity and small prizes or candy.
✅ Donors – Support the event by contributing to the giveaway prizes fund.
