Stars for our Troop's volunteers gather monthly at different places to create the Stars that are mailed around the world to be given to our current military, our veterans and our first responders.
We gather retired 3' x 5' American made sewn flags with embroidered Stars and pass the legacy of the Stars to those that defended them. The Stars are cut from clean cantons, then included in a small pouch with a message on the opposite side of the Star. And just like the Stars, we will not forget our heroes.
Other Star Parties include:
Cohoes-Waterford Elks, 45 N Mohawk St, Cohoes – Downstairs - parking behind lodge, follow road on right after entering from Mohawk St.
2nd Thursday of the month 6 - 8 PM
Our Lady of Victory’s Parish Hall, 55 North Lake Ave., Troy
4th Wednesday of the month 10 AM - Noon
We are happy to introduce our Take Home Kit. In the kit, you will receive 10 clean cantons, 5 bags of pouches and a container of notes. We hope you attend a Star Party, but clear instructions are available.
Does a member of your family need to complete community service hours? This is the project that takes care of that "when, where, why and how.
