Join us for an evening of stargazing and celestial exploration as CSASTRO (Colorado Springs Astronomical Society) sets up camp at the library for a Star Party you won’t forget!With 4–5+ telescopes and experienced astronomers on hand, you’ll get the chance to peer into the cosmos and learn about planets, stars, galaxies, and more. We’ll start with brighter objects like Saturn and work our way deeper into space as the sky darkens—possibly catching glimpses of Uranus, Neptune, distant nebulae, and galaxies far, far away.
What to Expect:
Come and go at your own pace within the 1.5-hour timeframe
Chat with astronomers and explore a variety of telescopes
Look for satellites, meteors, and maybe even a passing comet or two
Wrap up with a laser-guided tour of the night sky around 7:30 PM
Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned space enthusiast, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with the universe right from your library lawn. Don’t forget to bring your sense of wonder—and maybe a sweater as the night cools!
