Star City Sustainability Series: Creating Roanoke's Clean Water Legacy

Davey Stewards, Star City Compost Founder/Operator and The Harvest Collective Leader, will be a Star City Sustainability Series presenter on Thursday, Feb. 19, from 6-7 p.m., at Clean Valley Council Headquarters.

He will discuss his work fostering:

- Community relationships around soil health, food forests, vegetable gardening, and herbs.

- Democratic decision-making in pursuit of sustainable food and herbal medicine production.

He also will share:

- Examples of fruit tree polyculture planting.

- Guidance on compost production
